The colourimetric tube is the main instrument used for visual colourimetric analysis in chemical
experiments and can be used for roughly measuring the concentration of a solution. The colour
difference is observed with the naked eye by placing the colourimetric tube containing the solution
to be measured in front of a white sheet of paper with the same level of illumination as the one
containing the standard solution.
